Where to buy cheap wholesale Carcanos

Does anyone know where I can buy cheap wholesale carcano rifles? Looking to buy in bulk maybe crates of 10 or more. Thanks for your help.

Probably nowhere. I don't remember seeing any of the regular importers or wholesalers listing Carcanos for sale in the past 10 years or so.

Only place I remember listing them at all was a Hunters Lodge ad in Shotgun News, but that was back in about 2010.

The only other longshot would be Century, if there were any Carcanos in the giant pile of crap they bought at the Samco bankruptcy auction. I don't remember seeing them on the inventory list, but I wasn't specifically looking, so that doesn't mean there wasn't any.

Those days are gone for Carcanos. They are even getting hard to find one at a time.

Some background might help. If you need guns that will be fired, the Carcano would be a poor choice since 6.5 ammo is scarce and 7.35 is almost impossible to find. Unfortunately, the days of military surplus Carcanos at $10 each are long gone and even single specimens in good condition now bring in the low hundreds.

It occurred to me that I downloaded the inventory from the auction, and still had it. No Carcanos listed.

Those days are gone for any W.W. II vintage milsurp. There is no place for any dealer to order milsurps from either. Absolutely not in BNIB condition, in crates or cheap. Very little demand for Carcano's anyway. And none have been made since 1945.
"...6.5 ammo is scarce..." Only Norma from Midway at $43.99 per 20 for 156 grain SP's.
$33.99 per 20 for either FMJ or SP 128 grain PCI 7.35 Carcano.
Prvi loads 6 different loads. 123, 139 and 156 grain bullets. No idea where to get it though.

In the 1960's you could buy crates of surplus rifles and I wish I had bought a few crates of 1903-A3 Springfields , P08 Lugers and Walther P38's back then ....them days are long gone and nothing is cheap any more.

Why the Carcano ? Even in 1960 it was the least desirable of the milsurp rifles.

??

Maybe the old Spanish Mauser. These were converted to 7.52 X 51. I think Century still has about a million of them.
Herd lots about the rifle not being strong enough, have never heard of one blowing up.

Have not looked in quite a while tho.

Yea I just remember even buying Carcanos 15 years ago for 50-75 dollars and now I see low 2-300 even 400. It's amazing. I only inquire as I like the rifles and reload with 268 bullets and have a ton of old WCC ammo and brass. I'm looking for a scoped one for my collection like an Oswald replica but even a 91/41 scoped if anyone knows anything or any for sale

So I keep it!

I have a 1939 Carcano in 7.35 that has full military wood in great condition, I do my own reloading and have come to like this little carbine. I was given 2 of these with 1 already in a Monte Carlo stock so I worked on the military one to get it back to original condition, shoots well and a keeper for me.

Graf and Sons still has the ammo, Hornady and Privi. New ammo isn't rare. I have original Mil Surp ammo that is appreciating better than my 401k. I was a Mil Surp fan back in the 80's, bought most of my stuff then. Almost everything is worth 4 times what I paid for it. Especially surplus ammo in odd calibers, because it's all been sold and a lot was shot up after it was sold.

If you're looking to buy cheap wholesale crates of Carcanos, the first thing you need to do is locate a time machine and go back to about 1958 or so...

Then, if you can do that, the second thing you will need is period correct money......

I'm sorry, but realistically, the only place you might find crates of Carcanos, is in the hands of some private collector, who probably isn't advertising them for sale, and if he is, isn't interested in selling them "cheap".

Good Luck!

Get a Nagant long rifle.

Shoots a dirt cheap shell and looks basically like a Carano.
