Need a management hunt for Mulies or antelope west Texas
Anyone know of a ranch with management game from Abiline to Van Horn that doesn't cost arm and leg for decent guided hunt. Getting older and want to try the area before I'm too old to do it. Googled some western hunts and 5-6000 average. Some semi guided around 1800 or so. Don't know who to trust.

Wendy, if you want to hunt pronghorn go to Wyoming. Drop kraigwy or Wyosmith a line and I'll bet they can help you out. It'll be much cheaper than anything you'll find in TX.
I'm not recommending these guys, but they do post on a couple of other forums I frequent. They often advertise a management hunt, so you could check them out West Texas Hunts. You could always try a booking agent, my buddy uses Crosshair Consulting to book his African hunts. He also uses him to book TX hunts he takes clients on.

Twenty years ago I hunted the Hughes ranch. I guess young John is a bit over 40 years old, now. Anyhow, I recommend them if their antelope herd hasn't suffered. They have mule deer; might have aoudad, maybe. 25,000 acres. They were getting $1,500 for antelope, back then. https://www.yellowpages.com/fort-dav...7?lid=30024377 |
