Sights for Win. Defender
I'm looking for goast ring sights for my Defender but all that I have found are for the 870 With all the
defenders out there you think someone would make goast ring rear sights for them. Thanks for any help you all can give. |

I'm pretty sure Ashley makes a ghost sight set for the 1300 defender.

If you don't mind doubling the value of your Winchester, MMC makes both a rear sight and clamp on front sight for the 1300. The rear sight is the same one used for Mossberg and Benelli. A silver soldered front sight can be installed, but you will be tripleing the value of the gun.
I have also used the LPA sights and they worked great.

A1 fan, the sights are going to be what truely determines how good your gun is with slugs at 100 yrds and beyond. (as well as the slug itself)
MMC's are nice! Ashley makes great stuff as well. MMC's: www.vangcomp.com |

Sorry but what is MMC and do they have a web site? And one more thing for you shotgun types, what kind of groups can I expect out of a smoothbore with slugs?

FWIW, my chokeless, smoothbore HD 870, which is more accurate than most, shoots groups a bit less than 5" at 100 yards, edge to edge. That one's had some work done including trigger, forcing cone, and has a peep sight.
Since 100 yards is about 3x the distance of my average shot opp, I regard this as not very important. There's some old threads here about setting up slug guns. |
