Ruger Mark III

Got one on layaway (to avoid the wait when I get my gun money next week), Anyway I can't seem to find any "upgrades" for it. I am thinking mainly the trigger, it already has the bull barrel. I can't find mags online either that aren't an arm and a leg. Any suggestions?

Try the gun first.

Most of the time you will find it to be up to par if it has the bull barrel. Expect to pay around $15-20 bucks for the clips. If you want the trigger lightened, find a smith and let him take care of it for you.

Also rimfiresports.com has about everything you could ask for, and cheaply. I personally put a bargain Volquartsen trigger and a Volq. target seer on mine and it sweetened the trigger significantly. MarkII.org is a great forum, and http://1bad69.com/ruger/index.htm is another great source for tutorials. Dusty on markii.org also sells the 'Ultimate Cliploader' for cheap, and it's well worth it.

As for mags, the markII.org guys figured out the parts list to order straight from Ruger which drops the cost to about $9 each.
