Will a Sig 226 barrel fit in a Sig 229?

Can anyone tell me if a .40 cal Sig 226 barrel will fit in a Sig 229?

I don't have a 229 to be sure, but I don't think it'll work. I know a 226/9 bbl wont fit a 228 slide.

Thanks Chris. I'm just getting tired of waiting for a Barsto for my Sig. I found a guy selling a 226 barrel and figured I would ask.

gosh ive been searching for that too, i have a 229 9mm and like that look of the extended barrell, the threaded barrel is 4.4" for the 229 and the standard 226 barrel is 4.4" my guess is that its nothing more than a threaded 226 barrel?
