Good Hunting Load For 30.06 180 GR. Bullet
What is a good safe hunting load for the 30 .06 using a 180 GR. Bullet. I will be hunting whitetail deer in thick brush and prefer the 180 GR. Bullet. Most shots will be 70 yards or less.

Come on guys surely to goodness someone has a pet load for it. I had a load years ago but have lost my information. I guess its back to the drawing board. I will refer to my manuals. Just thought someone might have some great ideas.

Use at your own risk and all that rot.
I used IMR 4350 for years. Manuals vary, mine's an old Lyman that said 56 grs. was safe with a 180. Sure was in my Winchester. I loved this powder for 150 gr. and up................Creeker |

I have hunted with Sierra 180 SPBT over 54.5 gr of 4350 since 1948. I've not found reason to change.
