Wad with Pyrodex pellets?
Shooters:
My friend bought a cap and ball of some kind, haven't seen it yet. He got a package of Pyrodex pellets, 30 grain. Since I just load the powder, conical and Crisco, I don't know anything about the pellets. Do you use a wad? Or can you seat the ball right against the pellet and the grease on top? I know 30 grains of powder leaves too much space in my Old Army, so I use 40 grains. So pellet, wad, ball? Pellet, ball, wad? Pellet, wad, ball, grease? Pellet wad ball wad? Pellet, 2 wads . . . . . well, you know what I am trying to find out. Thanks for your advice! Gascheck |
