omni and omega z5
I finally broke down and bought an omega z5,only$ 277.00 black stock and blue bbl its the beginning of 200 yrd shots on mi.deer,they even gave me 5 shoc wave bullets and sabots,perfect for that shot on late season buck deer,as we here in mich can take 2 bucks per season on an combo licence,and buy 5 doe tags per day on private land,as well as left over public land tags,yee hawww,anybody got advice on loads and bullets in the omega,or z5 omega,please respond with your likes and dislikes,i think i like this gun ,havent shot it yet,but everything ive heard is good?

300gr. horn xtp ,crush rib sabot and 100 gr t7, weaver k4= 1 inch groups. i love mine. gonna get a 1-3x20.

I've got a Z5. You are going to be upset at the price you paid because Walmart tends to mark them down for clearance after hunting season. I paid $200 for mine and then a month later could have bought another one for only $180.
For loads, mine loves the Hornady 250grn SST with the low-drag sabot pushed by 100 grn of loose 777 and a 777 primer. Trigger45's 300grn Hornady XTP is a fine bullet, but you'll get less drop out of the SST (much better ballistic coefficient). With a .50 caliber hole, I'll take flatter shooting over terminal performance. |

its just the xtp is $18 per 50 and at the gun shop. muzzloading is not popular here in central tx.
