Sanding Mag Release IDPA

Anyone know if this is legal in SSP? I have a Glock 34 and I gently sanded the corners of the mag release. I think the rules say you can't have a visible modification of the mag release, but this could happen from normal wearing of the gun.

It is not a permitted modification, but being that you have just accelerated the wear on the plastic part, it is unlikely your subterfuge will be caught.

That's an interesting point; after you've put 25,000 rounds through the gun, there will probably be a few areas on the frame that have been worn to the point that they are no longer of the stock shape or dimensions; would you then have to retire the gun (frame)?

Thanks for the replies. I was actually listening to some powerfactorshow when I read your comment Rick. I'll probably just order a replacement in case someone has an issue with it.
