Looking for Savage Bolt Disassembly instructions
Howdy,
Title says it all. I see a while back George sent someone these instructions. Could anyone forward them to me please? For a Model 12 with Accutrigger. Thanks, Mike [email protected] |

My suggestion as to disassembling those Savage bolts is DON'T. Unless there is a real need, like parts replacement, it is better to leave them alone. It is very easy to mess up firing pin protrusion and other sensitive areas.
That is not like a military bolt, intended to be dismantled and cleaned in the field. It is THE MOST complex rifle bolt I have ever seen and has the most parts. Cleaning, if necessary, can be done with a spray cleaner or by immersion in a cleaner. Jim |
