Colt 1892 DA 38

New here so thanks in advance to all!
Just purchase this Colt which I believe to be the civilian model.
Seems to be made in 1894, anyone could let me know possible value?

Colt 1892 DA 38 Long Colt, refinished, value will be about $250-$300. Of course, with the stupid prices people are willing to pay for just about any gun these days, it could be higher.

You have a Colt New Army Model 1892, made in 1894.

That year the serial numbers started at 11300 and ended at 15099.

Yours is a commercial model.
In order to be worth much these have to be in pretty nice original condition, so $250 to $300 would be about it.
The missing ejector rod head also lowers the value.

There isn't as big market for these older Colt's due to the obsolete caliber.
This were chambered for the .41 Long Colt and the .38 Long Colt, which IS NOT the .38 Special.
The actions are complicated and rather fragile so treat it carefully, because there are no new parts and virtually no gunsmith will even look at one.

Numrich has the ejector rod head for $17.75 if you're interested.

That's the wrong ejector rod head.

The correct head is the one listed as Out of Stock.
It has a smooth surface and the hole in the head.
