10 rounds for SCSA
Everything I have read says you're only able to use 10 round for the production class. So does that mean that you can have 1 in the barrel and 10 rounds in a mag or do you load 9 rounds in the 4 mags. and 10 in your first one.

You are much better off getting competition rules from the rule book than from an internet forum.
Less chance for acquiring penalty points that way.

Go to Steel Challenge Shooting Association.com and download the rules.

It might depend on how you start, loaded or unloaded.

Mag loading limitations as for USPSA divisions?
My SCSA experience is very limited but I was not aware of any mag loading limitations. I checked the current rules and it is not obvious to me that there are any. Could you clarify? Thanks! |

I decided to shot my first steel challenge shoot a couple weeks. Needless to say that I ended up not be able to sign up. Did not know I had to pre register, was put on waiting. Everyone showed up. I did hangout and ask a lot of questions. I was told be the match director that you can have a max of 10 rounds in each magazine. The first string you start with 10 rounds. All other strings you will have 10+ 1 unless you run your gun dry. Thank for all the input

If you need more than 10 rounds, the match isn't going well for you.
But I should mention you can load your first magazine to 11 rounds (or barney up if you only have 10 round magazines), and still be legal. When I shot production in steel I never did, but it was legal. |
