My scope is 1" and rings are 30mm, options?

The rings I want to use with this scope are the nightforce ultralite. Mainly because they're light, second theyre supposed to be strong. I hear there are reducers available to fit a 1" scope in 30mm rings- are these a good option? Also- do they add weight?

Wonder if Im better off just getting a pair of talley lightweights.

I would obtain new rings, if it were me....I've never been fond of adapters whether they be for scope rings or truck wheels.

I bought a set of 30mm to 1" adapters made by Barrett...
Considering the rings were $100, spending $40 for the adapters was worthwhile.
Nothing made by Barrett constitutes taking a "chance"...

'Course, if you've got $30 rings, this option is a non-starter...

In a pinch, a piece of inner tube between rings and tube will work as well.

In a bind before a hunting trip when my buddy bought 30mm rings, we tried it to see if the scope would retain zero as a emergency stop gap and after 5 years, it is still holding.

Given the choice however I'd buy the correct size rings. Why take the chance?
