I fixed something that wasn't broken.

I picked up a pound of IMR 4007SSC a couple of days ago to try out in the old 22-250 and I'm sure glad I did. My old load of IMR4064 was punching little groups but this stuff punches TINY groups in my gun. When the first three shots made one little, tattered hole, I was all smiles. Velocity is superb. Case fill is great. Accuracy outstanding. I think IMR has a winner here. I'll posts pics and stats tomorrow.

G'day. You only thought it wasn't broken. Good for you.

Do you notice any difference when running it through your powder measure?

I could be mistaken but I thought the whole point of SSC powder was to make it run easier in most measures with more consistent powder drops and less cutting of the powder.

Yep, I see that you changed powders as well, but the powders they offer SSC in also comes in regular non-SSC.

I don't use a measure for precision rifle loads. I weigh each charge. The point of SSC powders is so you can get more powder into the case. 4007SSC does not come in "regular".
