I fixed something that wasn't broken.
I picked up a pound of IMR 4007SSC a couple of days ago to try out in the old 22-250 and I'm sure glad I did. My old load of IMR4064 was punching little groups but this stuff punches TINY groups in my gun. When the first three shots made one little, tattered hole, I was all smiles. Velocity is superb. Case fill is great. Accuracy outstanding. I think IMR has a winner here. I'll posts pics and stats tomorrow.

G'day. You only thought it wasn't broken. Good for you.

Do you notice any difference when running it through your powder measure?
I could be mistaken but I thought the whole point of SSC powder was to make it run easier in most measures with more consistent powder drops and less cutting of the powder. Yep, I see that you changed powders as well, but the powders they offer SSC in also comes in regular non-SSC.

I don't use a measure for precision rifle loads. I weigh each charge. The point of SSC powders is so you can get more powder into the case. 4007SSC does not come in "regular".

Sorry this took so long. Busy and terrible weather don't go well with shooting.
