Hodgdon/IMR Trailboss Powder Dispensing
Have had some of this powder for awhile, but have used it only a few times because am reluctant to use it with a 'standard " powder measure (in this case, the RCBS Uniflow dispenser). Have gone back to the old tried and true method of measuring this powder directly on my scale (which is a bit time consuming), then charging the case directly. Sooo, has anyone been dispensing this powder using a standard powder measure, and, if so, does it work very well that way?

I have dispensed Trail Boss using a Lee Pro Auto-Disk. In minimal experience of perhaps 50 rounds for .357Mag it worked just fine. Surprisingly good actually.
Whether it's truth in advertising or just marketing B.S, IMR claims it was designed "to achieve better flow characteristics through powder measures". Seemed to be true for me.

My old RCBS powder dispenser does just fine with Trail Boss.

My Redding 10X does OK most of the time with TB, but I did have some trouble a couple years ago with bridging and light charges.

RCBS uniflow works fine with the smaller pistol meter. It could feel a bit weird below 2gr, as the meter starts cutting the "donuts".
It is a nice powder. Fast burning with low energy content. -TL |

Yes the RCBS uniflow works great with TB. I use mine with the micrometer adjustment screw whether that would make any difference.

My Uniflow, my Lee Auto Pro Disk, and my Belding and Mull ALL dispense Trail Boss with great accuracy.
