Uberti stock for 1861 Navy?

What or who has or knows of the correct item number so I could get a shoulder stock for this gun?

I've looked at the Dixie website, and I am unsure of which one it is...

It looks as though all the ones on the Dixie site are all for Pietta manufacture.

Uberti doesn't list stocks on their website...does this have something to do with the "conversions" and "open top" cartridge guns that they are now importing that have the stock screws on the sides of the frame? (One of the CYA things that they are doing as a company?)

Call Dixie Gun Works and ask them. They have excellent customer service reps.

I take it you want a should stock for a 61 Navy. Is the revolver a four screw model. I'm not sure if it needs to be. I have a Uberti shoulder stock for a 60 Army and it fits on both three and four screw revolvers of different manufacture.

To explain a bit further as to what my statement above means and make it more clear. (I read it again, and I agree, it isn't clear.)

Many blackpowder revolvers- particularly 1860's, have the screw head studs and cut outs on the sides of the frames for shoulder stocks.

These same frames, that happen to include these cut outs and screw heads where the stock mounts also happen to be found on some of the Richards-Mason conversion centerfire revolvers, and others I have seen.

It is perfectly legal to put the shoulder stock on a percussion revolver.
It is illegal to put that same stock on a centerfire version of the same revolver. Pistols with stocks fall under the 1934 Gun Control Act- with some exceptions like original Lugers, Mausers or anything else that is specifically included as a curio and relic. It doesn't apply to blackpowder firearms or replicas so long as they don't take a metallic cartridge.

If a person really wanted to put a stock on a pistol that takes metallic ammunition, he would have to apply for a tax stamp for the pistol the same way as a person would for a machine gun, etc. I believe it would classify as an A.O.W. (any other weapon).

Anyway, I'm going to call Dixie in the morning.

This is probably a bad place to ask this, but...
Are Pietta stocks and Uberti stocks interchangeable? I mean, will one stock fit both manufacturers?
I guess Dixie will tell me.

Is the one I have on my 61 navy. I bought it in a local store along with an unused Uberti revolver. Apparently the customer lost interest or his wife found out about it. I had to widen the brass fitting just a bit to clear the stock.
A friend has a similar stock made for the 60 army and its longer grip frame. I don't know if that one will fit on a navy grip or not but I haven't tried His came already fitted and works well with several Uberti Pietta ASM army copies.

The catalog information on the Navy stocks listed by Dixie have never been clear. All are made by Pietta but seem compatible with other replica revolvers.

I have ordered the correct stock for this gun from Dixie.

I do have another bit of questioning on a stock that I currently own, but have never tried to "fit" until now.

I have a stock for 1851 Pietta models that I bought some time ago...
However, there was no screw to replace the hammer screw on the gun with it.

When I called Dixie, they stated that they don't sell these screws separately.

Pray tell, where may I procure said accoutrement?!?!

My Uberti shoulder stock fits three screw guns with out the long hammer screw just fine.

It hooks the two cutouts on the recoil shield, the inside of the stock rests on the back strap and it then hooks the bottom of the grip. Even on the four screw guns it does not touch the fourth screw.

Ah...

The stock I have has no "fingers" for the cutouts on the gun's frame, and my 1851's have no cut outs.
