Lightning can strike twice
Below is an article about a local guy involved in two situations 23 years apart, who might have saved lives while risking his own. The article also illustrates the varying attitudes of law enforcement.

FYI, lightning always strikes at least twice, usually many times in the same event and can strike the same location over successive events.

I agree he did right in the first situation because persons were being killed and he stopped that.
In the second situation it was money and it’s not worth risking life or injury for money. |
