bedding???

I am getting ready to rework 2 Savage rifles. New stocks, aftermaket triggers, and bedding jobs.

Does anybody have any tips on bedding? What bedding material is best? Pillar bed, or do a full action bed? I have read a lot about bedding rifle actions, but have not done one yet. I do not want to mess either of these up. I want to get them as close to perfect as possible on my 1st attempt.

Thanks for the link.

Anybody else have any advice, or links to a good set of instructions? I want to lean as much as I can before I start.
