Gold or Silver.......Brass or Nickel ? ? ?

What is your favorite to Reload, is it Brass or Nickel?

I have loaded for many years but can't really say I like one over the other by much. I like the looks of the silver with some jacketed bullets and the brass with others.

Has anyone found much difference in the number of times they can be loaded?

Seems I most always loaded brass in .44 mag. and my .38 & .357's were all silver. I used a med. to heavy roll crimp on both and I loaded mild loads most of the time. They both held up well as I recall.

My reason for asking is that I may be prchasing some once fired or maybe new unfired in .40, .380, & 9mm. Is there much difference?

What do you like best and why?

Thanks for all comments.

Iprefer nickle for my hunting loads because it does not tarnish through the season.

I also prefer the looks.

It is more difficult to size than plain brass, and does not seem to hold up as well.

My "keeper" brass is Nickel and all else is just good ole brass. I think the nickel stuff feeds a bit better. Nickel seems to be every bit as durable if not more durable than straight brass.

Personally, I get 20 + reloads out of my .45 acp brass at least.
