IPSC Standard Glock 17 Holster recommendations?

in order to add fuel to the overwhelming interest so far, I bring two suggestions into this dynamic thread:

Sickinger "Speed Machine"

Sickinger Range Master Pistol

The Range Master looks better to me, but I have no clue about competition holsters yet....

I would recommend the Fobus paddle holster, but it all depends on how you feel about yourself with your gun, the hogue holsters are great but I don't know how you feel of having your gun exposed. I personally have a fobus roto-paddle holster and I love it, There is no need for a belt and it holds secure and does not shift. Also depending on weather your shooting IPSC or IDPA and what type of match your doing, you have the option of rotating the holster to fit your needs.

It works great, it's cheap, and it's also IDPA legal. Before that I used an Uncle Mike's Kydex holster. It's cheaper, but it doesn't get as loose as the Blade-Tech. My Glock flies out of this holster. I was going to get one for my new 1911, but the one I got was used and came with a Wilson leather holster and double mag pouch.

I have used a CR Speed for 12+ years, I have found them to very good, and have never found a need to change to a different holster.

I recommend the under-$20 Uncle Mikes Kydex Belt holster NOT the 'paddle').

Worth more, but costs less, and is actually a useful holster.

I picked one up used for $5; 1911 model.
(My othef 1911 holsters are from Sparks and Galco.)

I'd recommend the Uncle Mike's kydex belt holster as well. I'll be shooting with one tomorrow... and the UM plastic double mag holders, too.

That's not what I carry with, but for gun games it works fine.

Unless you're in the top 5% or so, the milliseconds of speed you gain from fancy holsters won't matter anyway... and they might cause you to bobble.

Not IPSC but IDPA - in their equipment summary for the nationals, IIRC - Blade-tech was the most common. That's what I use.

Uncle Mikes Kydex Belt Holster works very good for me. I can adjust it from one extreme to the other. I have the double mag holster too and like it very well.

I have other Kydex brand in paddle holsters I don't really like them. They don't stay in place and they can't be adjusted for tention. The UM is less $ and worth much more IMO. Just as mentioned above!

I use an Uncle Mike belt holster for my 17 and 34. I've had it for about 3 years. Works great, is inexpensive and if it turns out you don't like it, you can sell it fairly fast.

I use a Glock 34 in IPSC - the fobus paddle - Roto version is a dream.

It is not going to cost you $100 like the speed holsters above, but with the roto version you get to choose the angle and therefore customize your draw capability.

And its like $24.00

I really like my 17 in the Comp-Tac speed holster. It's a kydex holster, IDPA legal. It's good for any practical shooting match and is pretty fast at presentation.
