BDC reticles worth it?

I'm looking at scopes to top off my AR build and I am torn between a standard plex reticle and the drop compensation reticles. The gun will be used for target duty only and will be shooting .223 from 55-69gr. Anyone have any insight into what would work better? The standard plex seems cleaner, and given that I am going for accuracy, wouldn't it be better to adjust the scope rather than use a potentially holdover setting?

BDC reticles are great for rapid changes in distance with a given load.

Since you are going to use a bunch of different loads, a scope with target knobs and quality construction will probably serve you best.

A Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40 mildot is a relatively inexpensive optic that I've had good luck with, but there are LOTS of good choices depending on what you are willing to spend.
