Hard Cast and Soft Lead Bullet Question

I am loading hard cast bullets for the first time and I was wondering if I can use the same data I use for soft lead. Is all lead equal? Or will different pressures result?

If you need more info I am loading .45 Auto, 230 grain round nose with 4.7 grains of Red Dot. The information comes from the Spear Manuel and they use their 230 grain LRN bullets.

Use the same data, there won't be any problems.

In .45 auto fit trumps hardness every time. If you are getting lead in the barrel it not due to the lead being too soft. It is from the bullets being too small.

If you see lead that starts by the chamber, and follows in a streak down the rifling then it is from undersized bullets. If the alloy is hard it can make the problem even worse.

If you see what looks like to be a clean barrel most of the way, and lead streaks at the muzzle, and on the crown then it is a lube issue.

If the inside of the barrel looks like it had been plated with lead then the powder is too hot. This usualy happens with magnum hand gun loads, and cast rifle loads.
