Black Bear In Quebec

I am going on a spring black bear hunt next year and will using my
Ruger 77 in 30-06 and was wondering abot bullet type and weight.
Thinking about 180 gr. shooting range will be from 50 to 150 yds.

I've shot a few blacks with a 06 180 grain sp. as well as moose. You have more than enought gun. Now all it boils down to is you. (shot placement).
30.30 170gr. has probably dumped as many bear as any calibre out there. Feel confident with your choice.

180 grns out of an '06 will do the trick.....I would use any load b/t 180-220 grn for black bears....Just put the round in the vitals and the caliber will do the rest for you..
