Low light Transition

Denny. Just read Mr. Breyer's article in the April issue on low light transition. I thought it brought up a very good question in training.

In all the years of training I had during my LE years, I dont think any of the instructors or trainies asked that question and now I feel dumb for not thinking of/or about it. I will be looking forward to what you discover and report.

I will be throwing out Mr. Breyer's question/suggestion to all my LEO firearm training buddies to get there spin on this. Keep up the good work and be safe. God bless.

Sorry for the late reply Jim. Basically, How do you illuminate your target with your handgun if not equipped with and/or light not attatched when your long gun is.

I see. I don't usually worry about that. But I do have a 3 D cell Maglite in the car and truck. I don't have mounted lights. In the house I have backround lights that will silouhette any intruder.

lights

My AR and nightstand pistol both have attached light systems on them. The only time I take the light off of the pistol is when I carry. I dont have a designated holster for it that accomidates the light at this time. I now carry a small pocket size light as part of my EDC.
