870: Getting rid of the dimples is actually very easy.
I ordered a Choate +2 magazine extension on monday, but I was semi-dreading the process of getting rid of those damn dimples.
If anyone else is thinking about doing this, i just wanted to reassure you that's it's very easy! I happened to have a 1" grinding wheel. As the inside diameter of the tube is about 7/8", I grinded down the wheel on a bigger sharpening wheel (all of this equipment was my dad's, so forgive me if I don't get the terminology right). Then we just put that on a power drill and reamed out the inside of the tube. It was about 1/10000th as hard as I thought it would be. My extension gets here tomorrow, according to UPS. I will then finally have a bad-ass, non-PC 6+1 shot shotgun! |

Nice.
Mine came 8+1 right from the box. Ahh yes, the Moss.

Yep, mine was almost as easy. Drilled out the dimples and dressed up the inside with a Dremmel.

I did as Strambo did, just drilled out the dimples. Took me about 10 seconds after I found my drill index........
