I Gave a Rifle a New Home!
For a while now, I've been considering acquiring the Noreen AR style .30-06 as an addition to the stable for various duties. Well, they ran a sale a few weeks back, so I decided to give one a new home and a comfy spot in my safe. I mounted a Vortex Viper PA 6.5-20x50 scope on it and will be taking it to the range soon. I will give a range report on it afterwards, if anyone is interested.
Here is the latest acquisition, the Noreen BN36X3 Long Range Assassin in .30-06. |

These and the Cobb's have always intrigued the pee-waddle out of me. Sure would like to spend some time behind one.
Did Cobb sell out to Noreen? I don't seem to remember seeing the Cobb name after Noreen came onto scene?

I only discovered these about a year ago, at most. I have not heard of Cobb. I know that the Noreens have been in business for a few years. According to their own bio, they started making ultra-long range rifles as a father-son team back in 2007. Did Cobb also make a long action AR style rifle?

Well, I guess that's a shame. For as awesome as an -06 would be, I just don't see me being able to shell out $2k for one any time soon. Lol.
I've never owned one, but I never could imagine see myself lugging around a .308 length AR-10, but I sure could see myself with a .30-06 though! Weirdness I guess. What would really trip my trigger would be seeing one in .25-06! That would be a speedgoat shooting son of a gun!
