9MM Pressure Check

I have been loading many years, and am fully aware of pressure issues, but I recently started loading some 9MM for my son. For those who load 9mm please take a look at these fired shells and let me know what you think is going on with this primer strike. The load I am using is well under max.

Glock 19
147gr Zero FMJ
3.4gr Titegroup
WSP Primers
1.130 OAL

Thanks

I see that a lot of cases that look like that from Glocks, it's a tell tale sign of what gun the shell was shot from.

I'm not sure you have anything wrong but I don't use Glocks so I'll let the Glock guys tell you that.

Looks just like my G19 spent primers. You may see slightly less deformation if you were loading lighter bullets and lower pressure recipe.

They look normal for a Glock.

That's great information guys. I've never seen this pattern loading 45,44,38,357,etc. is there any explanation as to why this happens, and why Glocks?

It is just the way Glock machines their bolt face. When the round is fired the primer flows back into it leaving that mark. It's just Glocks own design. You have to admit it works well.

I've never been a Glock guy due to their ergonomics for me personally, but I have always respected their design, which leads to proven reliability and durability.

As a conscientious re-loader I just didn't want to get into an off balance pressure situation, especially loading for my son. I've been on the Glock Talk forum for years because it's a darn good source of information with some knowledgeable shooters as was proven by this thread.
