I recently acquired a s&w model 625 and I'm looking for suggestions for 1. a speed holster for use in steel challenge and IPSC style events and 2. a holster for IDPA matches. Thanks in advance.

Try Dillion for the carry holster.
I know they (or used to) carry a Kramer scabbard. They have a revolver competetion holster as well, but I do not know if it fits the N frame Smith. Also look at Brownell's and Denny's Shooter Supply. |

Steve
I use a Safariland 002 for speed events and have been pleased with it. For IDPA, I'm using the Kramer I bought from Dillion. Not crazy about the Kramer. The holster has no cut away in the front, so all 5" of barrel has to clear the top before driving to target. Goin' to try a Bladetech. The Kramers'for sale. ------------------ |

You might want to try Ky-Tac for a 625 holster. members.aol.com./kytac/index.html

Thanks all. I've decided to go with the safariland 002 for the IPSC/steel challenge type matches. I'm still undecided on the IDPA holster.
