2023 Georgia Proposed Restrictions
Representative Mary Margret Oliver is proposing new firearms restrictions including holding gun owners responsible if their gun is stolen from their home and used in a crime. Obviously, we need responsible gun owners and there are times when irresponsible gun owners should be held accountable. However, being the victim of a crime should not make you a criminal. Sadly, the same folks who support this type of legislation also support defunding the Police and going easy on real criminals.
There is little chance of this or anything passing this year, but the enemies of freedom are gaining ground in Georgia. Thankfully some good pro Second Amendment legislation was passed in the last few years, but we are only an election away from more serious attacks. https://www.wsbtv.com/news/local/geo...GKH7EPSRDPXDA/

Thanks for the information. She's gotta go. We need to vote these kinds of anti-gun idiots out.

Ask the good Representative if she would support a law requiring Representatives (such as herself) to be held personally and financially responsible if any one is harmed by a law that they passed.
When she replies (and I expect in the negative) ask her, "why not?"

I spoke to Rep. Ridley about this, and it's DOA.

As Tom said we probably have little to worry about this session, but who knows what joys these folks have planned for the future.
Here's a list of Goergia Senate and House Bills submitted for this session. https://ga2a.org/tracker/
