Western Auto revelation question?

So, long question. Probably been asked 100 times; but I’ll make it 101. A guy I know, has a Western Auto Revelation 120. The stock is broke beyond repair. From what I found, it’s a Marlin model 99, but branded For Western Auto. Well, if I’m correct, the model 99 became the model 60. If I can find an old model 60 stock, would this fit this gun? Only minor fitting required? Any and all help is greatly appreciated! Thank you all in advance!

I doubt you will need any fitting. Only a few internal parts were different. The only difference between stocks is that the 99 used walnut.

It's a Marlin Model 99. It is alleged that the difference between a 99 and a 60 was the 60's stock was birch vs walnut and the 99 was factory-tapped to accept screw-on scope mounts.
Only issue with M60 stocks is the 'old' and 'new' variation. Something about barrel bands.
Gunparts is listing a 'new style' Marlin M99M1 stock at $66.55.
