Pre-Leupold Redfield scope
Has any one sent a older Redfield to get repair/re-furbished? Was it worth it?

made in USA
The vintage Redfield scopes marked in such a manner so as to be determined to
be "Made In USA" are the "older" scopes that can be overhauled. The Redfield name got thrown around a bit, and there are some scopes out there that are marked Redfield, but are made overseas and there is no service for them. So yeah, I sent a fixed 4x low profile Widefield off about 10-12 years ago to an outfit called "Ironsight" in Oklahoma (?). It came back in a couple of months and the cost was reasonable. That scope is in use on a rimfire rifle now. But......I hear the wait these days is very lengthy. |
