a young knifemaker to watch
Charles Gedraitis is a young maker that I think will be one to watch. His knives seem to have an aura about them that reminds me of some of the best knives from folks like Rick Dunkerly, Steve Jernigan, Barry Gallagher or Wade Colter. He's young still and just getting started but if you look at what he's done so far, and what he has for sale today, you'll get an idea of what he can do. If todays product is an indicator, by the time this guy is 30 or so his name will be right up there with the best.
Here's a photo of one of his folders.

Does he make a fixed blade hunting knife? If so, I'd like to know a little more.

Chuck made fixed blades for about eight years. He does mostly folders now but still does a few fixed blades. You can reach him at

Those are great looking. What kind of price range do they run?

They were each $250.00. Design, workmanship, materials and fit and finish are all equal to ones costing four or five times as much from some of the "established knifemakers". Take a look here for some more info: Gedraitis web page
