Putting patches on gun belt for USPSA

I was just wondering, can I iron a patch on my competition belt. I really want to iron my last name on the back of my belt and my college logo on my belt keeper. Just to be different. Is that allowed? People have colored mag pouches, grip tape, etc. I want my belt to represent me.

Go right ahead, you have my permission.
Can't imagine anyone would complain about it.
Is there actually anything in the rule book that would prohibit it?
Considering all the walking billboards at the higher level matches, it's doubtful.

Iron on patches come off easily.
Isn't difficult to carve/stamp stuff into leather though. Buy a Tandy's Beginner's Kit. Has all the tools you need. Think it has stencils for lettering too.
Oh and nobody is looking at your belt or your pants. snicker.

No one wears leather belts anymore in USPSA, that was from the 80s. Everything today is Nylon, like the Double Alpha or Wilderness Instructor belt. You can use a soldering iron or iron on the patch. There is no rule against cosmetic modifications, so paint lightning bolts on your holster and pouches...

Hey, watch that stuff, ya' young whippersnapper.
Danged kids.
Oh right, I'm too old to keep wobbling and hobbling around a match stage anymore.
Never mind.

Hey, watch that stuff, ya' young whippersnapper.

G, I was a kid back in the late 60's running a Colt 1911 with Col Cooper. Milt Sparks IWB leather holster and leather mag pouch with 2 opposite facing 7 round mags. Later on an Ernie Hill speed rig cross draw. Looked like this, allot more hair and allot less weight.... long before Nylon, Kydex and shot timers!
