Magtech Bullets

I was wondering if anyone on here had experience with Magtech bullets.

My reloading had pretty much been strictly Hornady bullets but I wanted to find a 95gr for loading my .380 and my parents. So I saw the Magtechs were pretty good priced so I ordered a bunch since they were FMJ.

Just wondering is anyone had any thoughts in Magtech bullets.

I loaded some 45 acp 230 grain without any issues. Seemed to be just as accurate

i have used them in my 44 load. 240 gr. sjsp. they shoot great with a 1 1/4 group @ 25 yds. although i have not shot any animal yet to see what they really do. to me they are worth trying.

They're pretty decent.

I've used the FMJs in 9mm, .380 Auto, and a few .32s.

I have also used some of their lead bullets, but can't remember what they were for. Their condition, coming out of the bag, was pretty unimpressive (but I guess that's what you get when soft lead bullets get banged around on ships, trains, and trucks for 7,000+ miles). They were still usable, just ugly and beat up.

Crankylove has used some of their HPs, as well, with no complaints.

The nice thing about their FMJs is that they use very generic bullet profiles. They feed in anything, and you can use nearly anyone's load data, with minimal (if any) adjustment.

I have shot up a huge number of Magtech bullets in .32 ACP without any problems. They are at least as good as any of the more expensive brands I have used.

The hand gun caliber bullets work fine. Most of us that shoot hand guns would not be able to tell the difference in how they do.

Their rifle bullets are another story. In .223 they will work for minute of pop can at 100 yards with an AR for general plinking. I got MOA out of my Savage with them. With better bullets the rifle give sub quarter MOA at 100 yards though. I used them up for fire forming loads.

That's good to know about the difference between the pistol an rifle bullets.

From all the comments, I think I may have found a new pistol bullet. I do have to say though that I love Hornady bullets for my rifle. I love Hornady bullets in general, pistol or rifle, plus they're made right in the USA. Saying that though, if the pistol bullets are just as good, but for a much cheaper price, that'll work for me.

I have a ton of these laying around in .40 FMJ, honestly they are as good as anything else thats out there for general plinking.
