The city of Houston has pretty much been brought to a complete stand-still. I have a very close friend who has lost everything in this while I remain on pins and needles with my faith keeping me going.

It's an awful situation and likely to get worse before it gets better. I'm sure the thoughts of everyone here are with those affected, and I encourage all who can to donate to relief agencies.
That said, discussing natural disasters is outside our bailiwick.
