Can someone give me some info/value on this shotgun?
I have an old 16 gauge, side by side Lefever shotgun. I have found out that is was made in 1925, but this is the only info I have found. Can anyone here tell me anything about this gun (hopefully including what the value might be)
Thanks |

Need more info. If the dating is correct......Nitro special, 26-32 inch barrels, varous chokes, box lock, extractors, checkered pistol grip stock.
Condition determines value....from $200 to $450. Add $75 for single trigger Add 20 percent for 16 ga.\ It should not have auto ejectors, just extractors if date is right. Hope this is some help. Sam |

Lots of Lefever shotguns. The company was bought out by Ithaca in the mid-20's, but the old man continued to make shotguns under the name of D.M. Lefever, Sons and Company. One reference I have puts prices anywhere between $100 and $8,000 depending on grade, condition, rarity, etc.
I'd suggest taking it to a reputable dealer and have it appraised.
