Pump action double barrel

Anybody else notice the actor portraying Doc Holiday rack his sawed off double barrel shotgun on "10 things you don't know about the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral" on the History Channel tonight. You gotta love Hollywood.

I think I ran across a pump action double barrel on an internet adventure one day but I think it was two pumps just mated together. A double barrel pump would be fun though!

My Dad and I were discussing a pump double barrel after seeing the show. Figured Ithacas would work pretty good welded together because of their bottom ejection. That'd be a handful though, wouldn't it?

I looked at the episode on Youtube and that doesn't look lilke a pump. The fore stock is always in the same position and if it was a pump you would have to have some magazine tubes for the documentary. I think some sound tech added the sound of a pump racking.

A double pump at the OK Corral?
Hmmm. The legendary gunfight took place in 1881. If memory serves, the first pump action shotgun was designed by John Browning in 1893 (at least, that was when production of the Winchester M1893 began).

Please look at Spencer Arms Co. 1882-1889. First successful American slide or pump action repeating shotgun.

Flayderman's Guide 6th edition

It seems that Spencer was a year too late for Doc Holiday.
