GP100 help needed

Took my GP100 apart today and polished the internals. Put it back together and now it won't cycle in double action. Cylinder stop won't drop all the way and hammer comes back about 3'8".

Works fine in single action.

Hand it apart and back together again before with no problems.

What have I done wrong?

When you remove metal on the surfaces that slide against each other, it changes when and where the pieces interact. It's called "snubbing".

Thank you, good to know.

The trigger plunger was VERY rough and I may have altered the angles trying to smooth it up.

Thanks for the input.

It's not the trigger plunger, I suspect it's the hammer dog and/or the upper curved surface of the trigger that contacts the hammer dog. I'd see if you can get Ruger to send you a new hammer dog before sending the gun in. They might just do it...
