Oops. Was reading back thru. On Sept 9 post about my Rem 7 I have the numbers mixed up. Rem 7 was 1:12 twist. Savage was 1:8.

I have to be careful with my 40 grain loadings in my ARs (1:9) since about 3400 fps there's a whisp of silver-grey vapor about 50 feet from the target.

But, in this case, a 1:8 twist at super sonic speeds should easily stabilize a 150 gr .30 cal bullet.
