LCR Internal Lock
Has anyone disassembled a Ruger LCR? I hope so, as I have two questions.
1. The internal hammer block. No, I am not one of our members that thinks an internal safety is a government conspiracy. I just will never use it. It appears the safety / hammer block works by preventing the hammer strut from moving. It appears to be held in place by four pins and if you "pushed out" the four pins the "block" will come out of the grip peg. Am I correct? 2. I like to remove the cylinder for cleaning. The LCR manual does not describe a procedure for removing the cylinder. It appears from the drawing, in the manual, the cylinder is retained by the "crane pivot screw". If the "crane pivot screw" is removed, can the cylinder be easily removed? Thanks, Jerry Last edited by Jerry11826; August 7, 2012 at 08:30 AM. Reason: Goof up |
