How does the S&K scope mount attach to a #1 mkIII enfield?
I've got a #1 MkIII SMLE that I'm considering getting an S&K insta mount for. I don't want to do anything permanent, which is why I want the insta mount. It looks like it attaches to the front of the receiver and the ring over the action, but I can't for the life of me figure out how it does that without damage/gunsmithing while still being solid enough to withstand the recoil of the gun. Anyone have any further info? (photos of an actual install would be great!)
The site is www.scopemounts.com (there is no direct link to the picture).

It has been a while, but IIRC, there was one mount that replaced the ejector screw with a longer screw. The screw was overlong and the installer had to grind it down to the proper height for the ejector.
