Olympic Arms AR-15
I have an early 80's Olympic Arms AR-15. It has the M-16 bolt group. I am having a problem with it not cycling properly. After I clean it will fire 40 to 60 rounds no problem. How much lube should I use. I am thinking that I might be over oiling.

Can you be more specific on what 'not cycling properly' means?

It starts with the round failing to feed completely. Then as I clear the jams it get to the point where it will extract the empity but fail to pick up and chamber the next round. I belive that the bcg is not traviling far enough to the rear to pick up the next round. It will fire, eject, and bolt closes in ready posotion with no round in chamber.

ar problem
replace your gas rings, extractor spring and put a D-fender ring under the extractor spring. I suspect your problem will go away. Good luck
