Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Magazine Bumper Pads

To keep my magazines separate between my 2 Ruger Mark IV 22/45s I added colored base pads from Magbumper.com.

I have 6 with the pads for both guns, as you can see yellow and orange.

Why keep the mags separate between guns? I understand using the colored bumpers to mark different loaded ammo, but I'm clueless as to why I would care if a mag from one gun ended up being used in the other.

I shoot about 1000 rounds a week and alternate between my two Mark IVs. I just a different range bag for each gun with tools and extra parts for each. They are only separated because I don't want to unnecessarily wear out my mags and I use Blazers in my stock 22/45 and CCI-SV in my Mamba ( Voluartsen ).

Other than that, it's just because I can. LOL

Good idea, particularly given how much you shoot. I don't shoot anywhere close to that much, but I use colored mag floor plates to distinguish carry mags from practice mags in my G19.

Nice looking setup you have there.
