Do you ream your necks?

Do you ream your rifle case necks? (Inside and Outside?)

I've always started with factory brass, for my serious shooting--which is mostly load development, sighting in, and then hunting. I've never had any sort of problem which led me to believe it was necessary.

Were I competing in benchrest or long-range military, etc., it might well be different. Maximum uniformity is more important, there.

for my .22-250 and the .308 bolt gun.

For my high power rifle and hunting loads, I check things, but don't trim or turn unless I'm out of specification.

Never yet - although I might if (when) I ever get a couple rifles rebarreled - just to run an experiment with 50 cases done "as usual" and another 50 all weighed for case capacity/reamed, etc. - the whole drill.

If a 30+ year-old rifle with 20K+ rounds through it will still shoot sub-1/4MOA, I would really! like to see the diffference tweaking the cases'll do.

I may actually give a hoot enough to try to wring out the best accuracy ....

Not for my match rifle. Of course, I shoot HP, where position will count for much more than a reamed neck. In addition, a military rifle, even with the Wylde or equivalent chamber will have enough room so that the necks are not nearly as important as with a bolt gun. I focus on things that will provide a tangible improvement. Now Benchresters will much more likely to be doing this. I just square up primer pockets, deburr flash holes, chamfer and deburr necks.
