I own and work on Colt SAAs and Bisleys, and it seems to me that the
major complaint regarding 3rd gen Colt SAAs is that they aren't first or second gen Colts. OK, Colt did some redesigning of the ratchet and hand, but, all things being equal, the only thing I can see that places them lower in the eyes of some folks is snobbery. Buy that Colt, but don't expect it to become a $10,000 collectable in our lifetime. My advice: take it out and shoot it, enjoy it, take care of it, and have as much fun with it as you possibly can. |
