Browning HP owners?

Just wondering if there are many BHP owners on this forum (I'm new here) Have a Belgium made Practical made in 95 in .40 S&W that I picked up recently ($300)
I don't have a lot of auto's to compare to except a P85 Ruger. This BHP is a very nice item... Do you like yours?

I'm one of many BHP owners here at TFL. I've got the practical also. It's a great pistol.

Love mine. Had my HP MK-III 9mm since 92. Manufactered in 91.

Looks great. ( live the slim profile for a full size )
Feels better. ( balanced and solid )
Shoots like a dream. ( any outside the circle are operator errors )
Stake my life on it.

Biggest problem ( and not that big of deal ) was finding the right holster for conceal carry and getting comfortable with Cocked and Locked Carry.

BTW - I now carry it IWB, behind right hip, FBI Rake ( Milt Sparks ) or in an Anderson Enterprise, *"Titan Patched" Fanny Pack.

C&L as was designed.

* Couldnt find any "Big Orange" holstered Fanny Packs.

And when coming back from lunch! I'm listening to a bunch of trial tapes today, and there's long dry spells where nothing important happens. It's dull, but it lets me catch up with you guys.

There are a few Hi-Power owners here on TFL. I've yet to hear from any that didn't like the gun.

I love my BHP. Bought it from a guy who needed vinyl siding on his house, so he sold it to me for $425 back in '96. The best part is that is a Practical model, and came with three factory mags, the 13 rounders.

I have two Brownings, a 1977 H-P which I bought, traded back to the dealer, then subsequently bought again! plus a new Browning H-P Detective, a shorter version. The new short version looks quite a bit rougher when compared side by side to the older one, but shoots very well. May be just the ticket for concealed carry.

I have a Nickel HP with the gold plated trigger and adjustable sights I bought new in 86. The gun is beautiful. A friend of mine calls it a "pimp gun" because it is so pretty!

Shoots great. Nothing fits your hand like a Browning. I would like to get another one some day.

I have been a BHP owner for over 2yrs. and now have a Practical,
mfg.1995 & bought new, a standard in blue with adj. sites mfg. 1971 bought used and in cherry condition and just purchased a new standard with adj. sites in polished blue, mgf.2000.
I also have a Glock 19, Beretta 92FS, CZ 75B. Next purchase will be a Sig 226. All of my guns are in 9mm. It's a great hobby.

I've had mine since '72, and have no intention of letting it get away! Great ergonomics, fine looks, reliable and accurate, IMO the best of the SA 9mm handguns.

My MKIII is stock. Works just fine, and I'm the most accurate with it of all the guns I've used in competition over the years.

I've got one too, and I really like it, but I do tend to get "bit" with the spur hammer, so I've got to try either a ring hammer or bobbing the spur.

I have a .40 S&W Practical also. It is a great pistol, for a .40S&W.

Sits so great in your hands, accurate, reliable. . .

oversized hammer eats a whole in my fist everytime I fire it.

I gotta get that thing replaced one of these days!

Aside from the oversized hammer, I have no complaints on my BHP. I have been looking to get a .357 Sig barrel for it forever also. I do believe a trip to Kurt Wickman is in order for the barrel, hammer and perhaps a set of bar/dot night sights.

I have a MkIII that I got about 13 yrs ago. The gun has been very reliable and much more accurate than I am.

I also like the BHP since it shares the same manual of arms that my other favorite weapons do - SA for cocked-n-locked carry.
