A little encouragement.
I was in the Denver Metro Area when he became Denver Mayor. He had a decidedly pro business bend to him.
Keep in mind he has a strong small business background, he owned and ran a bar for years before he was basically drafted as a candidate.
At a couple of points he told his own party faithful to take a flying leap when they were about do something that would have damaged Denver's economy. He is very much capable of thinking and acting clearly along those lines if given reason enough.
Contact him reasonably with statistics and proof indicating the negative economic impact and you might very well be pleasantly surprised, he has demonstrated an ability to use horse sense in the past.

He is one of the few Democrats this grouchy old conservative ever considered voting for.
