Steyr 1908-1909 6.5mm

Steyr 1908-1909 6.5mm serial number 54XX

I've been repairing a Steyr 1908/1909, and reading about these firearms they are always stamped with the date on the side of the barrel. This one doesn't have a stamp on the barrel so does anyone have a Steyr 1908-1909 6.5 without a date stamp also?

Expand on your answer.
Other Steyr 1908/1909 are date stamped that I have researched on the subject. Also no stamps are on the firearm.

Yours obviously was not date stamped, so the references are wrong.

Well, it's a anomaly since my research has provided a date stamped on all of the pistols.

This is one of the first production models since it only has 4 digit serial number and no letter afterwards. I would like to have a conversation with another Steyr owner who has more information about this early model. This pistol is lacking several stamps found on other models.

I was able to fit and finish the part to the pistol, it came out excellent. Time to cycle the pistol and see if it's going to eject the casings.
