Sen. Murphy Fundraising For Gun Control

Roll Call reports that the Senator is attempting to raise funds for three "key elections:" New Hampshire Gov. Maggie Hassan and former Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto for Senate, and former Orlando Chief of Police Val Demings in Florida's 10th Congressional District.

It seems to me the idea is basically to pick three elections they think they can win where their candidate opposes an NRA candidate, and then no matter what the result they will trumpet how the election meant the NRA is a paper tiger who no longer has any power in Congress. So these elections are going to be particularly important in the "narrative" after November.

What they are ultimately hoping to do is convince Congresscritters they do not need to fear their constituents wrath so they can bribe them on new gun laws.

Note to all posters

I strongly urge all to read CAREFULLY the L&CR rules about political posts. As written I see no issue with the OP, BUT, if the thread veers into politics, outside our posted rules, it will be closed, and those violating L&CR rules will be liable.

Good Luck.
All else being equal (and it almost never is) bigger bullets tend to work better.
