Top firearms-related stories of 2017

It's the end of the year and every media outlet has some version of their top stories for the year. I'm interested in seeing what you think are the top firearms-related stories of 2017 were. The focus is on firearms and does not include news about mass shooting or politics involving firearms. Here's two I came up with:

Army adopts Sig P320 as its handgun. https://www.military.com/daily-news/...ce-pistol.html
Army stops evaluation of temporary 7.62 carbine to replace (some) M4s. https://www.armytimes.com/news/your-...not-happening/

I picked both of these because what the Army does or does not do about small arms impacts the firearms market generally.
